Congressional Medal of Honor

This is the quilt I made for a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor. A person in my guild organized it so that every living recipient will receive a quilt in September when they have their convention here in Knoxville. I was proud of how it turned out.

Art Quilts

Tomorrow I have to lend these five 12 x 12 Art Quilts to the Fiber Arts Blount. They have agreed to display my art group's - FAC @ FAB (Fiber Art Chicks @ Fiber Art Blount) quilts during the month of May. Every other month we have to make a 12 x 12 quilt using a word. Each member gets to pick a word. My word was shoes. Then Hands, Sign, Smile and Flower. Our next on is Self. It is due in May but we will not have a May meeting. The meeting conflicts with our quilt guild's 34th Annual Quilt Show. The show is being held May 23-25 on the campus of Maryville College in Maryville, TN. Hopefully having our art quilts hanging at FAB will advertise the show. We need lots of people to attend the show. We have 200 quilts competing for prizes, plus 9 memorial quilts and 32 Medal of Honor quilts. It is going to be a great show.
