1st SMQ retreat

I planned a retreat for my quilting guild. The place we held it was the Whistle Stop Quilting Retreat center in Sweetwater. The owner, Jodi Savage came and spoke at the guild meeting and I was hoping that would encourage people to attend. We had to have 7 people in order to get the place. Only 5 guild members signed up and two of those were Marian and me. I asked my friends, Mary, Gina and Nancy to come. Those 3 along with Marian and Carol and I retreated together all the time. It was our first retreat without Carol. In fact, it turned out to be exactly one since we took Carol on our last retreat. The retreat center was fabulous. A huge area set up for sewing. Several areas available for hand sewing. A big kitchen and comfortable beds. Plenty of bathrooms, too. We had a great time. I got a whole quilt top done which will hang in my office once it is quilted. I hope to plan another one and maybe this time more people will come.
