I was asked by Mountain Creek Quilt Shop to consider teaching this class this year. After finishing this bag with Marian's assistance, I declined. It was a poorly written pattern and with all the layers you have to sew, many sewing machines would be unable to sew this together. This would lead to many students failing. Next up was a sewing machine cover and thread trash bag for a class I hope to teach this summer.
I spent Tuesday-Saturday in Murrell's Inlet, SC with Karen Pharr, Ginny Storm, Sally Sante, Marian and a friend of Karen's named Veronica. It was at a Quilt retreat center. I got so much done. I finished all the National Park blocks that we had purchased, the Linda Claussen challenge quilt top, a rag quilt, some blocks from a curved quilt block class I took, a panel quilt top and Annaleigh's graduation quilt top. It was so much fun!

Cat panel quilt. I bought this panel and the fabric to put on the front of the Claussen challenge (which we all hated). Everyone decided we loved it so much it couldn't go on the Claussen challenge quilt top.
Curved blocks - I started these in a class I took at Mountain Creek Quilt Shop with Marilyn Hoenie.
Claussen challenge (Ginny took this and took it apart and redid it. Everyone hated it before and after she did it. lol) I was given the black and white fabric and the orange/red fabric and needed to make a kids quilt. I added a book panel and it just didn't work no matter what we did.
This is Annaleigh's graduation quilt.

My cat quilt was held for Just for Fun ribbon. I lost out to Patty Ashworth's Yellow Submarine. I sold this quilt to my friend Lucy Hamilton-Duncan in DC.
This was a collage quilt I finished in a class with Sara Bradshaw. My guild sponsored the class. It was held at Mountain Creek Quilt Shop.
This quilt was completed for my niece, Jen Rubright. She requested I make it for a friend of hers.
This is a table runner for my improv class.
This was a class I took from a friend of mine named Tone Haugen-Cogburn. It's a version of improv. I like the way it turned out.
