2021 was a lot like 2021 without the complete shut down. We did finally get the vaccine and booster for Covid-19. But still wearing masks because the virus keeps mutating. Well at least some of us are still wearing masks. Here are my stats for the year:
Books - 54,825 pages read with 158 books. My longest book was 916 pages Ken Follett's "A Column of Fire. Average book length was 346 pages.
Sewing projects - I made a lot of project bags...at least 30. I made a quilt for my friend Mary after she had some surgery. I made sample quilts for my classes - building blocks, 3 improve, string piecing. I made a tone of twine bowls. I made a diagonal illusion quilt from Christmas fabric that I gifted to Jessica Holmes. I made 3 grid interfacing projects - 2 pillows and a table runner. I made a project bag from a cross stitch piece I made and one from a piece done by Michelle Bendy. I made 3 quilted hoodies and 3 geometric bags. I also made 4 table runners and a bag from an old quilt for my friend, Nikki Anderson.
Cross stitch - I finished 2 ornaments, Away we Fly, Harry Potter bookmark, Little Quaker, bag, A Stitch in Thyme, Grace Hooper, Create, Hello Summer and Autumn, Welcome Spring, A Stitcher Haunts Here, a piece for my friend Tausha Lay, the Steel City Stitchers chart and the entire series Anniversaries of the Heart by Blackbird Designs.
I played a lot of pickleball. Mary and I did spend a lot of time walking and working out before she and John hit the road in their RV.
Isaiah came for a few days and it was so much fun. We went to the Veteran's Day parade and the zoo. Lots of play time.
Marian had a ton of health issues. She didn't drive all year and beginning mid-year she started falling a lot. Several trips to the ER.
All in all it was a good year. I hope 2022 will be better. No big plans for 2022. Just be me.
