These are the quilt blocks I made for the State Museum exhibit during Quilt Fest.
The first big thing I did was give a talk to the Beta Sigma Phi Women's Business group. Merikay Waldvogel roped me into doing it. They wanted her but she was out-of-town. I hope they enjoyed it. They seemed to. These are the quilts I showed:
Granny, Mom/Granny quilt, my 1st quilt, Double wedding ring, Picture Yourself in the Smokies, Sun Moon Stars, Scraps of Friendship, Dear Carol, Henge, That Old Black Magic, Tanzania, A Touch of Grey, Tree w/ Karen Pharr, Green Star w/Karen Pharr, Summer Tree, Healing Quilts, With a Little Help from my Friends and ruler work. I'm proud of myself for doing something I'm not comfortable doing. Maybe it will start a new sideline.
Visit to the Tennessee State Museum - Taylor and I went to the Tennessee State Museum on Tuesday, February 19 to see the Between the Layers exhibit. I made some samples for them to use in the exhibit. We started the day with breakfast at Biscuit Love. I had sausage gravy and biscuit; Taylor had the chocolate gravy and biscuit. I tried it, but chocolate just doesn't belong with a biscuit. :) Then we went to the museum.
